The Sandbar Swimming Area

The Sandbar, on the Henry’s Fork at 1st South and 3rd East has a shallow, bordered area for children and adult novice and non-swimmers, as well as a playground jungle gym, a diving board, and floating platform for better swimmers. There are also sandboxes and a tube water slide which ends in the shallow swim area.

There is a lifeguard on duty at various times, but swim at your own risk. The Sandbar has been a very popular place for more than 50 years! People come from other nearby cities to cool off in the hot summer. No dogs are allowed in this park. As always, take precautions when swimming in water with fast currents.
