Land Trust Seeks New Director

Bookmark and Share

DRIGGS — Teton Regional Land Trust  (TRLT) is looking for a new executive director with a strong natural resources background and land conservation experience. Its most recent executive director, Conrad Kramer, resigned this week.

TRLT is a non-profit conservation organization focused on conserving agricultural and natural lands and encouraging land stewardship in the Upper Snake River watershed. The organization serves five southeastern Idaho counties and a portion of Teton County, Wyoming.

During Kramer’s time as director, TRLT became the first land trust in Idaho to be accredited by the Land Trust Accreditation Commission, opened an Island Park satellite office, and created a new Web site. Other recent accomplishments include working with landowners to conserve 235 acres on the Pine Creek Bench in Swan Valley, 713 acres along the South Fork of the Snake River, 200 acres of riverfront property in Teton Valley, completing numerous restoration projects on conserved properties, and being awarded a $1 million North American Wetlands Conservation Council grant.

Bonnie Self is serving TRLT as interim executive director. She has served as the operations director for the past five years and has worked in non-profit management, development, finance, and administration since 1994.

Ron Rope, TRLT’s board president and Jerry Reese, vice president, are working to ensure a smooth transition until a new executive director is hired.
